It likewise suggests the contention between the individual and the state, just as the contrasts among good and perfect law.In the playwright Antigone by Sophocles, the characters reveal their values while exposing a life lessons through their actions, dialogue, thoughts,and effects on others. Antigone starts with two brothers, Eteocles and Polyneices, being killed at battle.
Sophocles' Antigone is based on the mythological story of the Theban cycle. It is not part of the trilogy, as in Aeschylus, but is a finished product. In his masterpiece, Sophocles reveals the contradictions between the human arbitrariness and the divine laws. He puts above all the unwritten divine laws.
